About the film

The original archive describes The Confession as a film recorded on a video camera using cinematic techniques in 1984. It records that the unedited material was rediscovered in May 2005, then edited and dubbed in June 2005.

Set during Britain’s occupation of Bahrain in the 1960s, the film follows Abdullah Ibrahim, an ordinary citizen who openly questions the British presence. A friend informs on him and he is arrested.
